India is the world's largest producer of tamarind, with Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh growing the fruit varieties with the highest tartaric acid content. Shree Swastika Agrorich sources fully ripened tamarind pods, dewings, extracts the pulp, and processes it into a spray-dried powder with no added colours, preservatives, or anti-caking agents.
Our tamarind powder delivers a minimum tartaric acid content of 12%, a pH of 2.5–3.5 in solution, and a characteristic dark brown colour. It dissolves readily in water or oil-based systems, making it far more convenient for food manufacturers than raw tamarind pulp or block — with no preparation time, no seed removal, and consistent acidity across every batch.
Whole tamarind (pods), tamarind block (compressed pulp), and tamarind paste are also available from our supply chain for customers who prefer unprocessed forms. All forms are supplied with COA including acidity, pH, moisture, and microbiological testing.
